Well, we are here again at another equinox, approaching another winter. I wonder if anything at all has been learnt from last year? Perhaps it was just a wet one, however, I hope there is not a repeat of last year. The tide marks are still visible on the bark of trees from the previous floods...a reminder of just how unpredictable these waterways are.
I guess one thing to learn is that these waterways are vulnerable and whist we can all enjoy them, it's important to realise that nothing lasts forever.
Change is always a constant and change is often a good thing.
Of course there are exceptions.
