The Broads Authority was left unconsulted in a heated Haven Bridge conflict.
In a recent turn of events, the Broads Authority has voiced frustration toward a Norfolk port management company after it was excluded from a pivotal meeting concerning a protracted dispute surrounding Haven Bridge in Great Yarmouth. Peel Ports, the entity responsible for overseeing operations at Great Yarmouth’s port and its river crossings, notably omitted the Broads Authority from an upcoming conference intended to clarify its plans for the bridge's opening.
This exclusion adds fuel to an ongoing feud between Peel Ports and Norfolk County Council, which has already led to an 80-day standoff affecting the Broads’ access routes earlier this year.
