A vessel pilfered from its mooring at Oulton Broad has been tracked down within the confines of an industrial compound.

The sleek black-and-white Bayliner cruiser, christened "Francesca," has now been restored to its rightful proprietors as authorities delve deeper into the theft investigation. The vessel was illicitly removed from its dock along Broadview Road, Oulton Broad, during the twilight hours of September 9th.

The boat had been fastened by three lines, which were also taken by the culprits.

Amidst growing concern amongst boaters traversing the picturesque Suffolk and Norfolk Broads, a plea was issued for vigilance, urging anyone navigating the waterways to be on alert for the absconded craft. In response, the police mounted an appeal for public assistance.

It was the sharp eye of a diligent officer that led to the discovery. Having previously seen the vessel’s likeness circulating across social media platforms, the officer fortuitously spotted the cruiser on an industrial estate in Lowestoft on Tuesday, September 24th. The vessel has since been returned to its owners.

A police spokesperson remarked, "Investigations into the theft are actively progressing, and officers continue to seek any witnesses to this incident."

Those with relevant information are urged to contact the Crime Coordination Centre, referencing crime number 37/51773/24 via 101.
