Wherry Yacht Charter's nautical flotilla for Norfolk Day. The Wherry Yacht Charter Charitable Trust extends an invitation to intrepid explorers to partake in an extraordinary expedition aboard five of their wherries, time-honoured sailing vessels, journeying towards Malthouse Broad at Ranworth this week.

These iconic Norfolk Broad vessels will traverse in a fleet, presenting a breathtaking spectacle both on the waters and along the banks of the Broad.

The event, slated for July 25, aims to herald the forthcoming Norfolk Day celebrations.

Andrew Scull, the chairman of trustees, elucidated the event's import: “What could be a more fitting tribute to commemorate the county’s annual day than five wherries – emblematic of the Norfolk Broads – crafting a magnificent tableau as they glide into Malthouse Broad under full sail? Proceeds from ticket sales constitute a primary revenue stream for our charity, which is dedicated to the restoration, preservation, and operation of five of the last eight extant wherries globally.

Thus, in addition to participating in a historic sailing, attendees will be contributing to the perpetuation of nautical heritage for posterity.”

Tickets are available at £75 apiece.
