Caution Urged for Swimmers at River Chet Amid Safety Concerns
During a recent conference of the Chegrave Parish Council, it was disclosed that many youths have been immersing themselves in the waters at Pyes Mill and Chedgrave Moorings along the River Chet, proximate to Loddon.
The parish forewarned that these segments of the river constitute a "navigational conduit" of a tidal river, presenting a "genuine peril of mishap or submersion." Their proclamation, disseminated via Facebook, additionally cited "anxieties regarding effluent discharge into the river," culminating in an exhortation: "Please caution your progeny against swimming in the River Chet."
I would suggest the Norfolk Broads is not fit for swimming across the entire waterways.
