A confrontation between rival traders in the bustling village of Hoveton often referred to as the capital of the Norfolk Broads, escalated into violence, shocking tourists in the area. The altercation occurred by the riverside near Wroxham Bridge and involved an ice cream seller and another trader who accused him of poaching customers. The dispute ended with one of the traders being knocked out. Police are currently investigating the incident, and an ambulance was called to provide medical attention to the injured party.
