I stumbled across this 1972 video footage of the Norfolk Broads.
I found it most captivating as it really demonstrates the timeless quality of the Norfolk Broads.
Near the end you can see ships in and near Norwich city and it really started to bug me about how the city is now so unwelcoming to boats when at one time it was a working port.
I really feel that the council and the Broads Authority should reconsider their attitudes towards the city's waterways and make it vibrant once again.
Life is short, even on its longest day
Great Home Movie. It shows how much the Broads have changed over the years. I totally agree with your comments about Norwich. It is not a very friendly boating place. Just think of all the possible mooring facilities that could be available by the new retail complex!!
