Neatishead Gets Electric Points

Post by Dances With Otters » December 8th, 2018, 5:17 pm

I was doing a spot of magnet fishing today at Neatishead and I was very surprised to see two brand new electric posts.
What's the chances that at some point in the future some nut case runs his wire across the water to the other side?.......I bet that happens.

Should be fun if someone does. Are people that stupid? Are they in use yet?

Don't think they will be switched on straight away as a surface of aggregate needs to be laid.
There's plenty of stupid people on the Norfolk Broads, I have a long list and I am at the top.....it's tough at the top. :D

Two to three months to connect the power? WTF?
Good job the Broads is not filled up by the BA, we would all be run aground most of the time.
Last winter they blatantly refused to fix Reedham's electric posts for all the winter boaters and now they are only interested in turning on the power when the hire boats come back.
If we had a democratically appointed Broads management by the toll payers then we might actually see the waterways coming into the 21st century.
Oi listen B.A.
..the season doesn't start when you start billing everyone for tolls, it's 24\7 365 days a year waterways just like it has been for centuries.
Don't try telling us its any different.
If the Broads has a start and finish to the season then why are we paying for tolls for the whole year?
Just wondering....

Reedham Quay only leased from Broadland District Council March to October so switched off in winter and they trip out anyway on a high tide
