1. Norwich and the Norfolk Broad Circuit

Embarking from the heart of Norwich, this extensive circuit demands a good level of stamina for those intent on completing the full journey. Fortunately, the trail is conveniently divisible into more manageable segments. The path meanders through the scenic Norfolk Broads, offering a picturesque ride punctuated by key stops such as the charming village of Ranworth and the inviting Lion Inn at Thurne.

One particularly striking section of this journey is the coastal stretch, where riders are treated to breathtaking sea views. The entire circuit, for the ambitious, can take approximately five hours to traverse in its entirety.

2. Norwich and the Marriotts Way Greenway Loop

This trail, which also originates from Norwich, ascends toward the tranquil River Wensum, guiding cyclists through to Reepham before looping back via the Marriotts Way. As you glide along, expect to witness the remnants of Hellesdon’s long-abandoned train station, now enveloped in nature’s lush embrace, as well as the serene beauty of the Marriotts Way.

In contrast to the Norfolk Broad circuit, this route is moderately challenging in terms of both distance and terrain, providing a more intermediate experience. It spans roughly three hours from start to finish.

3. Norwich to Reedham Ferry Circuit

For those seeking both wide-open vistas and a unique experience, this trail delivers on all fronts. Cyclists will begin at Whitlingham Great Broad in Norwich and trace the River Bure before arriving in Reedham, where a ferry ride awaits as a delightful interlude.

This trail offers flexibility, allowing bikers the option to return the way they came or to split the journey into two parts if they wish to board the ferry. The route typically demands just under five hours to complete, depending on your choice of return.

4. Kofra Coffee Loop from Heigham Grove

Tailored for the more novice cyclist, this is one of the shorter routes on the list, requiring just shy of two hours to complete. It predominantly follows paved paths, making it an ideal choice for beginners.

Commencing at Pembroke Road in Norwich, the route leads to the well-known Kofra coffee shop just off Unthank Road. From there, it sweeps down toward East Carleton, looping around Ketteringham before making its way back to Norwich.

5. Whitlingham Great Broad Loop from Thorpe St Andrew

Another route designed with beginners in mind, this trail focuses more extensively on the serene Whitlingham Great Broad. Beginning just beyond Norwich Stadium, cyclists are taken through Thorpe Marshes before retracing their steps.

With an estimated completion time of two hours, this tranquil ride includes a pleasant stop at The Barn in Whitlingham Great Broad. It is worth noting that certain portions of this path will require cyclists to dismount and walk their bicycles through more rugged sections.

---

These five routes each offer a distinctive journey for cyclists, ranging from tranquil rides along the coast to more challenging excursions through Norfolk’s picturesque countryside. Whether you’re a novice rider or a seasoned cyclist, there’s a trail to match your pace and appetite for adventure.
