Hello everybody. I have been thinking of joining this forum for some time and I have now taken the plunge.

My name is Alan, I am retired and take great interest in the great outdoors encompassing boats, fishing and walking. I usually spend four weeks a year in my own boat on The Broads.

I look forward to contributing any knowledge I may have about boat maintenance and exploring the Broads and other waterways. Also I may be picking more knowledgeable members brains for information on various subjects.

Regards.

Alan.

Hi there Alan,
Welcome.
It often surprises me how knowledgeable some boating folks are.
It certainly is better if a person is hands on with their boat, it just wouldn't be affordable otherwise.
Most folks I know have more tools on their boats than most garden sheds..... including myself.
