Post by nimue » October 7th, 2018, 6:16 pm

Evening everyone.
I've noticed that the forum has be very quiet recently, is everyone still there?

We've been preparing for winter. Log burner now intalled and what a lovley thing it is.
Has anyone else been making similar preparations for the colder weather?

I have had two smartphones burst into flames this week alone in two separate locations so I am offline for a while.

Was it a Planar one? Heard good things about them. Apparently only the fuel lead and tank are plastic and that prevents it from getting British Standards approval

I'd be interested to know how you get on with that.
I have had a wood stove in mine since 2016 but have decided to fit a diesel heather and being under £200 makes good sense.
I am a big fan of my wood burner but I am a bigger fan of heating coming on with a button...so I will keep it onboard this winter as I am on the dry dock and next year in goes the diesel heather.

Fitted heater today after 10 minutes of getting the fuel through the lines works a treat lot hotter then my propex heater on my last boat.the exhaust has not arrived yet but it doesn’t seem to need one as very little Noise so could have saved £40.

Its good to see you have tried this piece of kit.
I have always thought the Eberspachers have been way over priced, especially the marine versions.
Please keep us up to date over the winter as to how it performs, fuel consumtion and that sort of thing.
