Converting Boats To Electric Propulsion

Post by Miles » April 4th, 2020, 8:38 am

Currently I have a very large interest in going electric on the boats I have intended for use on the Norfolk Broads.

I know it's not suitable for all applications, however, going down the river on electric is like something else
..so serene.

I love the true purpose of diesel engines... fantastic invention but I hate having them on river boats.

What a racket. Noise, smelly and as anti social at moorings as you can get.

Going electric is not cheap and my first project is likely to be with an old forklift drive motor which I am currently searching for.
In the meantime, here is some information for your perusal.

Marlin 13 system - £5676.14 + VAT

Swordfish 16 - £7380.68 + VAT
