I have had reports just now of that troubled ex-copper at Irstead Staithe unplugging boat electrics, turning off trip switches and threatening to set boats adrift. Furthermore threatening to tow people's cars away with a tractor. Please share if you know any residential boaters in the area.
Broads Authority guidance is to stay on mooring during lockdown.

Trouble At Irstead Staithe
Re: Trouble At Irstead Staithe
Can not see this being legal.
The staithe is public and that does not mean just for locals.
As far as river access goes?
Looks like the troubled staithe resident notorious for being a nuisance makes the law up as he goes along.

Re: Trouble At Irstead Staithe
Can someone please post a picture of this idiot. I have heard about him but would like to know what he looks like!
Re: Trouble At Irstead Staithe
I am trying to get one. Will post when I do.
I am really surprised by the bloke to be honest, definitely not a compliment to boating. Why buy a house next to the river if he has such a problem with boaters?
My understanding is that he refers to residential boaters as river rats...I guess that must make him a river turd
