I am all for wildlife and conservation etc but bats don't need housing..........boats need moorings and that includes ones for liveaboards too.
The bats have survived up to now quite successfully without the need for boat owner toll paying funded organisations like the Broads Authority wasting resources and money on housing bats.
May I suggest investing in dredging, rubbish bins and moorings with facilities rather than providing homes for bats.
The only time any visitor will come across a bat here on the rivers is at twilight when they fly around for a while looking rather like swifts and swallows.
If they build loads of pontoons then the bats can live under them with the starlings, otters and big fat pike monsters.
