I pulled into Horning yesterday briefly and within the space of what must have been an hour, I was hit by more boats than I could remember.
What really surprised me was that the mooring sign says to double moor at busy times. Who the hell wants people climbing all over their boat?
Whoever makes these signs does not own a boat.... can't possibly do.

Double Moorings Suck
Re: Double Moorings Suck
We have stopped mooring at Horning during peak holiday times as we have been hit repeatedly by larger hire craft trying to moor near the swan pub, we even had a 45ft Faircraft Loynes boat trying to moor alongside our 27ft Seamaster last summer at Horning, we didn't let them and pointed to the bootom of the sighn that asks to get the other boat owners permission to moor alongside, they eventually triple moored at the end next to the pub.
PS: just to let you know our dog had its front leg put back into joint by the vet at Stalham Monday afternoon and he is making a great recovery, that ended up being one expensive bank holiday

A boat makes a big hole in the water in to which you throw money

Glad to hear that.
I did hear him squeal but thought someone might have caught a toe.
Yes, Horning is just silly.
