Moving our boat to the Broads

Post by Carpetman »

Hi everyone,

After hiring many times over the years we finally going to move our boat on the broads.
Will be around mid to late May when we arrive.

Just currently looking at securing a mooring near Brundall.

I'm sure I will be picking brains and hopefully helping others as well.

All the best
simon

Plenty of moorings at Brundall, between £50 and £80 per foot in a marina with full facilities, what sort of boat do you have?

I have just checked and it turns out the most expensive place in Brundall is £75 per foot, that is Tingdene Brundall Bay in their main private dyke, they also have moorings on Hoboroughs dyke at £55 per foot. Cheapest I can find is Bells Boats, £47 per foot. My current moorings are £59 per foot

You will love it on the broads, have a look at the southern Broads too, its quieter there and it might be bit cheaper too.

Sorry for slow reply,

Yes really excited about a move to the broads / Brundall.
Travelling down tomorrow after speaking with some of the marinas to look around and hopefully secure a spot for us.
We are currently up near Lincoln moored at Burton Waters, river Witham and Trent.

Boat is a Sealine S34 sports cruiser, plan to explore the southern broads and venture down the coast from time to time.

Thanks for this, Tingdene is one of the ones we going to see, I'm interested to see what the extra £'s actually get you.

Hope you are taking a look at Brundall Gardens, an idyllic approach through the woods and a good marina with all the facilites you need. I suspect a tad cheaper than Ting Dene as well!

What Brundall Bay gives you that the others don't is a lot of space, both around your boat, (boats are spaced further apart) and the marina grounds in general which are huge
