Oh dear! If anything, I think the number of deaths is very much understated. I would not be at all surprised if, and that is a hopeful if, when this is over the worst, the death rate will a lot higher than stated so far.

On the canals where I am its also susceptible to flooding. We use a few well placed scaffold poles to stop the boats floating across onto the towpath.
