I have noticed a change in the birdlife this summer. Especially the ducks, where are they all?
Certainly an explosion in horseflies too, in fact in some areas on the River Ant they are a major pain.
I was moored at Sutton recently and must have been attacked by at least 20 throughout the day, maybe even more.
There seem to be two types. One dark moth like version and the other look likes a regular fly but with yellow markings.
Water in the boat is the ruin of the boat, but water under the boat is its support
