Very strong mackerel Sky tonight across the North Broads.
I can almost guarantee strong winds within three days.

Mackerel sky to me means precipitation within 24 hours. Lord only knows where that saying comes from but usually works.

Well so far my meteorological skills are diminished as it has not rained for ages, neither windy but beautiful and hot. In addition, as we are close to a full moon and with the heat, the levels are low with regards to water on the river.
I just came into Stalham and could see so much more of the river bank....had a flash back to being on the south Broads.
Don't go south so much these days, can't face the grim journey going through Yarmouth. Don't mind stopping there but what a dump from Marina Keys onwards.
