The B.A. stuck an abandoned notice on it after the new owner, 'Jock' did a bunk after over staying at Sutton for about three months. The former owner claimed it back days before the houseboat sunk and it is now squatting at Stalham Staithe with two enormous plastic containers on top raising the local property prices      and offering the guests in the holiday rental at Simpsons a delightful view to appreciate.

What can one say about him. I totally agree with your sentiments, Miles. He should be made to clear his mess up under a community order , maybe?

According to locals he has now been rehoused in East Rushton.
The Shetland, 'Hastie' was reclaimed by its lawful registered owner who asked a local boat yard to recover it for them.
The 'Pelican' boat apparently is now tolled after the Broads Authority placed an abandoned boat notice on it some time ago. After 28 days it would have been towed away and either scrapped or sold.
Although now according to online posts it is now blocking up the 24 hour moorings at Stalham.
The sunken house boat remains and so too does the constant floatsam although it is most likely jetsam.
