Many propellers have two different sized nuts on them?
Which order do they go?
Small first?
Big first?

The smaller not goes on closest to the prop and then locked with the larger one, which is the complete opisite to how I was instructed when I did my automotive training years ago, trust boats to be arse about face even in the aircraft world the smaller nut is used as the lock nut.
A boat makes a big hole in the water in to which you throw money

Yes, you are quite right. I have had lengthy chats about it today even with engineers like yourself and once it's explained...it does sort of make sense'ish.
I wonder how many people have argued this one out as intuition would definitely say big nut first.
