How To Winterise A Boat

Post by High Seas » January 11th, 2018, 3:05 am

There is a lot of very useful information in this video on how to winterise a boat.
I was surprised to see antifreeze being poured into the freshwater tank.
Winterize if you are from the States. :D

Antifreeze in the water tank does not sound healthy as it is toxic and 2 ounces is enough to kill a dog, you would have to really flush the tank out after winter, I just run all the water out through the taps and leave open and disconnect both inlet and outlet pipes from the water pump

I must say that the vidio is very good at showing how to winterise a boat, he knows how to charge $700, $200 for parts and $500 labour for 2.5 hours work I must be doing something wrong, I can't get that rate per hour and I work in aviation.
Just going off topic slightly I am off to the boat show on Sunday I will try and shoot some video Richo's got 2 new boats there, I will attempt to upload it and post next week if I get time.
