It takes a certain patina to achieve that look.

Hmm I don’t think that I fancy that patina I know old things look good with aged patina but it’s not for me and I also got my boat name wrong it’s Glenmore, must be an age thing + one to many glssses of wine

I did major restoratrion work on Glemore back in 2012/13 and was hugely disappointed to see the state she was in compared to how she was when I sold her. Good luck and take care of her. One very impressive thing about her is the thickness of the layup on her hull. Absolutely bomb proof!

Yes the hull very thick with rope in a series of S shapes put in when the fibreglass was layed up, I have got quite a bit of woodwork to do she has got some rot on the cabin corners and quite a bit of splitting timber on the sides I am going to get it as water tight as possible before I set to spicing in new wood, I spent all last weekend pressure washing her to make it look more presentable and still have the rest of the hull to clean, the cabin top was so dirty it was black along with the canopy, when I went to look at her the bilges were full of water right up to the bottom of the sump on the engine and to the bottom of the bowthruster in the front, she had been stood for 2 years with her windows left open if you want to see her again I moor at Richardsons on the golf key moorings we are there most weekends

Considering the figure I sold her for I'm staggered that she got in such a condition so rapidly and that she has been stood for so long!

Here she is back in 2011, she was much the same when I sold her in 2014.
