Is This A Wherry?

Post by Dances With Otters » March 12th, 2018, 4:25 pm

I stumbled across this wreck just off Barton Broad.
Is it a wherry?
Certainly has the same shape stern and bow.

Quite possibly, didn't they sink a lot of old wherries around the broad years ago to reinforce the banks?

Ranworth and Surlingham Broad had them sunk. So too were dykes and some are sea to stop sea planes landing.
Here are some more photos.
