An Interesting Website

I just stumbled across this website purely by chance.
Joe Masons Page Blog.
There are some great photos on it about ships in Norwich.
With all this talk about cruise ships mooring up in Great Yarmouth, I have to wonder why Norwich is not more like Amsterdam and more welcoming to boaters? :?

⛵ Life is short, even on its longest day ⛵

Interestingly, the last time I visited Norwich a young fisherman "mooned" at me from the bankside near the football ground, another fisherman started swearing at me because I went past that bridge that limits hire boats from going through. I pointed out to him that I was on my own boat and perfectly entitled to navigate the water. I also told him that I had heard such of his comments all before and was not interested.

It was also interesting that a free mooring below the Yacht Station police signs up telling boats not to moor there at night as all the night scum appeared there after dark. I leave that to your own imagination!

Its a shame really because Norwich is a fine city.
