Norfolk Broads Yacht Club hosted their last open event of the season

I think most folks would not necessarily think of sailing boats when people refer to, ' River Cruiser' but that they must be as Wroxham Broad just had the last regatta of this year's season. river cruiser norfolk.JPG Ultimately it came down to which boat had the better result in the last race, and s...

Re: Its all gone very quiet

I'd be interested to know how you get on with that. I have had a wood stove in mine since 2016 but have decided to fit a diesel heather and being under £200 makes good sense. I am a big fan of my wood burner but I am a bigger fan of heating coming on with a button...so I will keep it onboard this wi...

Signal flag "Quebec, " called the "Yellow Jack" is a simple yellow flag that was historically used to signal quarantine (it stands for Q), but in modern use indicates the opposite, as a signal of a ship free of disease that requests boarding and inspection.

Five Golden Rules for Courtesy Flag Etiquette

unnamed.jpg Courtesy Flags are essential for all voyages in foreign waters. Well presented flags create good impressions. Always use the Red Ensign for United Kingdom waters - not the Union Jack. Yachts without masts should fly the Courtesy Flag at the bow. Yachts with masts, on the starboard sprea...

Who Writes This Crap?

It was that feeling of fuzzy nostalgia that sparked the notion that I, despite having no boating experience to my name since a Barton Turf trip age 9, should book a week-long Broads trip on a 44ft luxury cruiser. .....and then he spent two weeks crashing into everyone's pride and joy. Now that is r...

I have had two smartphones burst into flames this week alone in two separate locations so I am offline for a while.

Marina Quays Development

Many will be aware of the eyesore formerly known as Marina Quays when you journey through Great Yarmouth. I thought it was to be renovated to be used by boaters once again, however, it appears that there are plans to build homes with moorings. I can't help but wonder what it would be like trying to ...

Online Chandlery Website WARNING.

CHANDLERY WORLD

Always keen to give a review but in this case it is a bad one.

Ordered three bronze items and they never arrived.

Four emails sent and every single one was ignored.

My review of Chandlery World would be do not buy from them ever.
