Re: New BMC Forum

There is a good forum for BMC and "vintage" engines already loaded with lots of info Miles.
www.canalworld.net and look down the list. What they don't have is any advice on more modern engines
so this might be a useful area to look at.

Re: First Whack Of The Season

Years ago this did actually happen! "Hoseasons Boaters Handbook" came with every booking and was stuffed with all sorts of advice and rules. Even had a couple of pages for you to fill in a holiday log. Well worth looking out for these on fleabay as they do bring back memories.

Re: Good hardware shop for fixings

For future reference for anyone else, there are a couple of good "old fashioned" almost hardware shops, one in Brundall and another in Acle. I seem to recall a decent one in Loddon as well.

Re: Moving our boat to the Broads

Hope you are taking a look at Brundall Gardens, an idyllic approach through the woods and a good marina with all the facilites you need. I suspect a tad cheaper than Ting Dene as well!

Re: Some Old Photos.

Could the fire possibly be the old Bridge Hotel at Potter Heigham? Used to frequent the shed next door for "Jonathan Crowe's heavy but gentle" disco!

Re: Is Ranworth Broad Privately Owned?

I've just read your question again and now realise you do actually mean the closed off Broad. I think this is also owned by Cators.
