I had a reply from the BA today by email to say:-

I can confirm that there are rubbish bins at the Coltishall moorings in the Kings Head carpark. There are also facilities in Hoveton by the 24 hour moorings just upstream from the bridge.


So there are rubbish bins at Cotishall.

It used to be that Lathams only ever closed on Christmas Day but was open the rest of the year.

An interesting post. I do agree with you , these boats do give the live aboard community a bad name , however the BA or whoever must know of them and allow them to remain. I am with you here Waylander, there are times when you have to run your engine. You cannot have a blanket ban on running an engine!! When we hired Simmoon from Silverline the only way you could open and close the sliding roof is to run the engine. Electric boats (I have never hired one) I do believe...
