Breydon high slack vs low slack

Hi all, Just curious, has anybody here crossed Breydon near high tide? These maybe daft questions so please bare with me. Is 'high slack tide' an hour after high tide? Is the tidal movement similar to the of low slack tide? At what point is the flood tide and ebb tide at its strongest? And is the in...

Re: Obstruction Of Moorings

I can see why people are starting to think like that. What's good for the goose is good for the Ganda. I certainly won't be moving if I decided to have another night at Loddon and I'm asked to move on, not when that Elysian was there for months! I've Not been there in a while, but wouldn't be surpri...

Re: Wayford Bridge Gets Damaged

Isn't that boarding there to make both sides of the bridge the same height from the water? If it is they probably clouted the concrete on the other end

Re: Vhf/dsc radio course and licence

Well I completed the vhf training and passed the test yesterday along with 3 others :D What a fantastic day, Paul from Eastern Horizon was great, very informative, and made the whole experience easy. Turns out I didn’t know as much as I thought! Think I’ll sign up to do other stuff with him in a he ...

Re: Climbing Back Onboard After Falling In

Im glad it’s bit just me David, it’s really is tricky in a real life situation without a proper foot hold below the transom. I’ve been looking at other boats out this weekend, and most boats ladders I’ve seen when folded out will only just about touch the water. This is a worthy question indeed to r...

Re: Climbing Back Onboard After Falling In

My wife, Dawn fell in a few years ago at Ranworth Island when we were stern on mooring. We have no rails on the back of the boat to hold onto and the canapot was down so she couldn’t even hold onto that. There’s no way she was climbing up the side of our boat as it sits high in the water. Luckily th...

Re: Profile Pics Missing

Yeah, even with the box ticked, I still don’t get any notifications ☹️ Not the end of the world as I check in to the forum a few times a week anyway, so can see replies then. Would be handy to be notified though.

Re: Profile Pics Missing

I don’t suppose you found the reason I don’t get reply notifications by email while you were updating Miles? It’s a shame we don’t get push updates like you do with the Facebook app. Maybe it’s sometgingbtye forum hosts might look at in the future, or better still a forum app which you can use with ...

Re: Mudweighting

That’s right, I did see your boat moored in the corner at the yacht station! It was as good to meet you, we’ll keep an eye out for you next time!
