Winter boating and sticky tape

The joys of winter boating 😆 I’m not sure the sticky tape will stop the ‘beast from the east’ but it’s stopping the drafts for now 👌
I’m currently at the new BA moorings at Oby, imho the best place to watch the sun set 👍

Re: Broads National Park?

I think I saw the same post regarding mr Packmans saying he does not want to see the Sandford princable enforced. As I read it, he meant that h didn’t want it for the broads as it is only a np for marketing purposes. That fact remains, if the broads ever became a NP then he as would the BA as a whol...

Re: Good hardware shop for fixings

Thanks for the replies. I have screws sorted now!
I was thinking maybe we should have a directory on the forum for chandlers, hardware and camping shops etc. We all know a few, so we could get a comprehensive list of places near the broads?

Re: Good hardware shop for fixings

Great thanks Miles, I’ll give them a look if I get to Norfolk in time. I might have sourced some in Colchester which is only 20 minutes from me, so the panic may be over 8-)

Good hardware shop for fixings

Does anyone know a shop which sells nuts and bolts which may not be available in the likes of B and q ? Specifically I need m6 x 80mm screws or bolts with a counter sunk head and preferably with hex key drive(torque or pozy acceptable as 2nd choice). They must also be stainless steel. I ordered some...

Re: Freezing Weather Warning

Great, I’ll do that then. I’ll probably head over in Saturday. So might see you there if you’re still there, or return back on Saturday 👍 If you read this before you see Rob, can you ask him if he is about on Saturday this week for me? I need pump and and diesel and both are a nightmare to get on. A...

Re: Freezing Weather Warning

I’m back on the boat from Friday, I was going to head to Sutton, so might see you there! Although my ever spa her drains my battery if on for more than 12 hours at a time, so might send you a message before I head off from Acle to check there’s a free electric point Miles if that’s okay?

Re: Sutton Staithe Mud Bath

I stayed at Sutton Staithe on Christmas Eve, and I have to say it was water logged then! I suppose, 2 months of people walking in a sodden lawn won’t do it much good. The strange thing is, we didn’t have that much by way of flooding there before Christmas. I might go up and have a look this weekend 👍

Re: Broads National Park?

I hope your right AVG45. I remain sceptical however given the obligations that the BA would have should it become a NP. Let’s hope it never happens, Don’t be sorry about the post, I don’t think dissension is a bad thing, in fact I think it’s a topic worthy of debate, which ever side of the fence we ...

My toll this year has risen marginally, but by nowhere near as much as last years price hike.
