Re: Bridge heights

Hylander, I agree, certainly all the bridges on the northern side have a good few extra contingency inches, but slightly less so in my experience on the southern side where they seem to be more accurate. I've been through Beccles numerous times over the years and I have got a pretty good grasp of th...

Bridge heights

Hi all, does anyone know how often, if at all the bridge clearance boards are calibrated? I’m well aware that there’s usually a few extra inches added on for contingency, which is good especially as some of the boards seem to lean over more each time I pass them. On the southern broads they appear t...

Re: Berney Arms

We saw the sign outside! Sorry we didn't have time to stop. Will this be a regular thing or just for the bank holiday?

Re: What a difference a few weeks makes!

Yeah, fantastic weather, just as good this weekend! Back up the ant this weekend :P My wife has tinnitus, so the music really helps keep her focus away from that. It really wasn’t loud, we could still hear the birds tweeting and water splashing and I’m sure it wasn’t bothering anyone, from the bank ...

Re: Not Enough Moorings On Norfolk Broads

Well at least you’re okay Luna. For the rest of us though it’s an increasing struggle to moor up in the summer. I see some inconsiderate mooring, which doesn’t help the situation. Boats with huge spaces between them and when you come close they all look the other way in fear you’ll ask them to pull ...

Re: Have Fishing Byelaws Changed On The Norfolk Broads?

Not long now till fishing closed season starts so hopefully see less gnomes. I wonder how many fishermen will be flouting the rules this year, seemed to be lots last year ;)

Winter boating

Love the broads? Even better in the winter, had another great weekend on the boat, icy start on Sunday but beautiful once the sun came up! Saturday was a bit grim weather wise, and the wind I wasn't expecting  none the less, what a great time to be on board! Here's a couple of my vids, not grea...
