The back door and windows below the water have been boarded up with what looked like plastic behind, seen boats raised from a lot worse positions than that using that method and a couple of good fire pumps, get water out quicker than it can get back in again! Looked like someone had been making preparations to recover this when I went past earlier, would have been easier a couple of weeks ago on that exceptionally low tide!

Not sure what the BA are playing at, Hickling does need dredging (as do other areas) but the threat of prymnesium is always there. Have been advised to test every 24-48 hours and carry hydrogen peroxide kits, instead they will test weekly and not carry the kits which can help stop an outbreak! Talki...

If you get the right combination of spring tides, wind and atmospheric conditions it can push the salt water further into the broads system, can stop the tide going out causing the next tide to be pushed further up, most winters salt water gets above potter bridge, the environment agency have sensor...
