Re: Broads toll.

For someone like myself it is very fair as I am here 24/7 but if I was just popping down every other weekend in the summer it would be quite frustrating especially if I had a 45 footer. Even more so when you consider the window of opportunity for the boating season is in itself rather small.

Re: Fantasy 20 Boat Information & Photos Required.

This Fantasy 20 has been sitting at Wayford for months. Looks abandoned to me as the BA posts have never been read. Always sad to see a boat neglected but all too easy to happen. Loss of a job, arrears and it gets too difficult to get up to a boat. I gave one of these away a couple of years ago with...

Re: Broads National Park?

The fact of the matter is that Packman's job title is one that nobody would ever really want. The reason being in my opinion is because whether his job js done well or poorly is irrelevant, as the poor chap seems to get criticised more than MPs. I don't think anyone could ever do that job and be fre...

Re: Good hardware shop for fixings

That's a good idea.
I have always offered these people the chance to advertise for free on here but no interest so far.

Re: Broads National Park?

I think navigation is going to be a big problem. The Broads needs to be managed by boaters and for boaters. Not an overpaid unelected bureaucrat who would not know his port from his starboard. You can see that in play at Beccles when someone in the past made a decision to paint the already undersize...

Re: Broads toll.

That's a significant rise about the cost of a tender I believe.

Re: How Not To Be A Liveaboard.

I really have not had any issues other than an ex copper on another forum being a total pain in the arse. That's right Paladine, we all know who you are and the next time you go passed in your boat, 'Wytchcraft', you can be sure of a friendly wave from me and many other boaters no doubt. The rangers...

Re: Good hardware shop for fixings

The only place I would recommend for nuts and bolts is Beardshaws around the back of Aquafax in Hoveton. They do absolutely everything in there. Highly recommended

Re: Freezing Weather Warning

He's moved his diesel tank over to the other side now. If you come in bow first, it's now on the port where the water is.

Re: Freezing Weather Warning

Please do. There is only a couple.of boats here at the moment.
I am waiting for some diesel as he seems to be out at the moment.
It's rather muddy and there is still the flotilla de ville at the end but all looks good otherwise.
