Re: Anon, Anon........Silly Season Has Commenced

A chap told me recently that a bloke got knocked of a Richardson's boat at Ludham. When they fished him out he suggested wearing life jackets and the woman upbraided him by saying they had just picked up the boat. Not one of them could tie the mooring ropes apparently but obviously they were shown t...

Why Permit Fishing From BA Moorings?

I put a question to the readers and it is simply to do with fishing. Should it be allowed on the BA Moorings? By the Broads Authority's own admission there are not enough moorings for the bounty of boats during the high season, so why actively promote it from the moorings when it's true to sa...

Anon, Anon........Silly Season Has Commenced

Made me chuckle this morning but then I realised the bridge was actually blocked, so night time boaters beware of foreign obstacles in your path.

First One Of These I've Ever Seen

I couldn't help but notice on a board at Wayford mooring a post referring to an abandoned boat at Stalham Staithe. I suspect it may have been that odd looking fishing dinghy that had a tree fall on it nearby. Glad to see notices like this, however, it was at the wrong mooring but hey ho....... it's ...

Re: Hello

Empty it may currently be but it's not run by bigots, megalomaniacs and sending out warning messages to its members....so publicise it to your heart's content........and welcome to the officially unofficial forum :D

Re: Broads System Failure

It's quite ironic as they have a published PDF on how much of a conservation area it is yet the staithe is neglected and derelict and gridlocked. It would be interesting to know how that system worked when the staithe was a wherry pitstop. In those times it was acknowledged as a public staithe which...

Re: Broads System Failure

He's a lovely chap but there is 12000 boats registered on the Broads all entitled to use the staithe.
